<h2>About the role</h2><p>We are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician&nbsp;to join our Maintenance team&nbsp;</p><p>This role will&nbsp;involve general repairs and planned maintenance to the site and equipment. A background in building services or facilities with knowledge of&nbsp;electrical and mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration would be&nbsp;beneficial in this role.</p><p>The role will suit someone who comes from a similar fast paced 24/7 environment.</p><p>Occasional call-outs and weekend work will be required when necessary</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>To support the RSC Maintenance Engineer with general maintenance and repair throughout the Regional Service Centre (RSC), ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and it remains a high quality environment for staff and visitors alike – this will include working at weekends when required to avoid impacting the operation.</li><li>Must have British standard electrical qualifications.</li><li>To ensure RSC meets legal compliance for maintenance</li><li>To maintain maintenance engineers records in regard to building and equipment maintenance on file at the RSC – ensuring records are kept in an orderly way</li><li>The effective management of third party service contracts.</li><li>To provide support to other RSC’s as required.</li></ul>&nbsp;<h2>You will need</h2><p><strong>Essential Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Full driving licence</li><li>Practical experience in a trade relevant to buildings maintenance.</li><li>Must be trained in&nbsp;British Standard electrical skills.</li><li>Managing contractors/service providers.</li><li>Good working knowledge of building services.</li><li>Experience of working to required H&amp;S standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Practical skills in order to provide a maintenance service for the RSC</li><li>Good diagnostic and problem solving skills</li><li>Self-starter, motivated with an ability to work alone or within a team.</li><li>Some heavy lifting, ladder work/working at heights and the use of power tools.</li></ul>&nbsp;<h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
