<h2>About the role</h2><p>We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Hatfield Distribution Centre in our&nbsp;Warehouse Department as a Warehouse Clerk. Our Regional Distribution centres supply our 198 cash and carry sites with all their products including Fresh, Frozen and Ambient stock.&nbsp;</p><p>The successful applicants will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working any five from six Nights shift pattern (22.00 – 06.00 hrs).</p><p>We are currently looking for an Ambient Warehouse Clerk who will be responsible for the shift’s clerical administration of the Nights operation. They will report to the Senior Clerk on the shift and contribute to the Department’s success by ensuring KPI’s are continually met.</p><p>Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre-employment tests.</p><p><strong>We do not accept applications from candidates residing outside of UK and must be living within a commutable distance.</strong></p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Uploading all relevant information on the system from the days shift</li><li>Working closely with team to ensure loading and unloading is prioritised</li><li>Deal with back picks</li><li>Handling all licence plate enquiries</li><li>Allocating trailers to bays</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Good organisational skills, including prioritising work-load.</li><li>Good computer working and knowledge skills working with Microsoft Office programmes.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure.</li><li>Good numeracy and keyboard skills.</li><li>Strong administration skills are required with good communication skills, this role relies heavily on being able to communicate with several different people groups.</li><li>Be fluent in good spoken and written English language.</li><li>Keen eye for detail.</li><li>Good time and attendance.</li><li>Be able to work as part of a team.</li><li>Some training will be provided to help you to integrate into the department.</li><li>Previous experience in a Warehouse Department would be advantageous</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
