<div class="clearfix"></div><h1 class="job-title">Application Delivery Engineer</h1><div></div><div></div><div></div><div><p>Howdens Joinery are looking for an K8 Application Delivery Engineer.</p><p>We are undergoing an exciting period of digital transformation and growth; this role offers a customer focused professional an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of an ongoing project to enhance new depot efficiency solutions and helping us support our internal K8 system.</p><p>This is a full time, permanent role and can be based from our offices in Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton, Raunds, Northamptonshire, Croxley Park, Watford or our office in Howden, Yorkshire. You will be expected to work onsite 3 days per week with 2 days home working.</p><p><strong>What will I be doing as an Application Delivery Engineer?</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure the smooth operation and continuation of service of our depot EPOS system K8</li><li>Ensuring any application issues are resolved as efficiently as possible.</li><li>Your key tasks will be responding to production incidents, driving recovery and mitigation, and ensuring agreed levels of support are maintained and delivered to the Howdens user community</li><li>You will also, where possible, address small change requests that can be completed within a short amount of time.</li><li>You will need to be service focussed, with the desire to deliver first class service to our colleagues and be dedicated to improving our processes through automation, innovation and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li><li>Part of your role will also involve you taking an active part in the Howdens ways of Working, providing regular updates on work during daily stand ups.&nbsp;</li><li>This is the perfect opportunity for an application support professional, who wants to expand their technical knowledge and looking for an opportunity to grow within a nurturing environment.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What do I need to qualify for this Application Delivery Engineer role?</strong></p><ul><li>Experience of working in a software development environment</li><li>Skills or Knowledge of K8 EPOS system</li></ul><ul><li>It would be preferable for you to have an understanding or familiarity with some of the following:</li><ul><li>Report Generator</li><li>DX transfers and DX transforms</li><li>Agent Scheduler</li><li>Format stationaries and Print Manager</li><li>Workplaces</li><li>Good understanding of Sales Order Processing module and sales processes.</li><li>Update Toolbox – proven experience in installing patches and completing after actions</li></ul><li>Experience in windows served based print queues</li><li>Excellent time Management</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills</li><li>Experience in the Retail/Trade Sector an advantage</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer you:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and annual company bonus</li><li>Excellent pension scheme (company contribution of up to 12%)</li><li>25 days holiday + bank holidays with the option to buy additional days</li><li>Staff Discount</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Modern office and friendly working environment</li><li>On site restaurant (dependent on location)</li><li>Exceptional Reward and Recognition events</li></ul><p><strong>About Howdens</strong></p><p>Howdens Joinery is a highly successful&nbsp;FTSE 100&nbsp;business, with more than 900 depots nationwide and more than 11,000 staff.
