<h2>About the role</h2><p>This is a Supervisory role within the newly opened canteen at Booker Distribution Fareham</p><p>You will have previous experience of managing a working kitchen and ideally proven track record of setting up a new canteen or similar facility</p><p>Managing a team of catering assistants, you will provide a hot and cold food service to all colleagues and to ensure that the canteen area is clean and tidy at all times.</p><p><br></p><p>The working hours will be Monday to Friday 0800-1600 however as this is a new role these hours may vary.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>Management of the day to day operation and catering team ensuring food hygiene guidelines and processes are adhered to (HACCP/Allergen/COSHH etc)</p><p>Delivery & management of HACCP best practice within the canteen & vending environments especially due diligence of temperature controls, quality of stock & dates codes</p><p>Ensuring high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained throughout the canteen, kitchen and vending facilities</p><p>Assisting with any other duties within the catering operation to ensure it runs smoothly</p><p>Taking responsibility for the catering P&L (profit and loss)</p><p>The reconciliation of cash and credit cards & banking procedure are adhered to</p><p>Ordering of stock for food preparation and for the vending machines</p><p>Stock Management and Stock Control</p><p>Code checking and checking quality of stock</p><p>Create and deliver effective cleaning schedules</p><p>Vending machine replenishment and management i.e. price changes, cleaning and cash collection</p><p>Hospitality Support</p><p>Assist in maintaining housekeeping in the canteen & kitchen facilities, dining area and kitchen counters</p><p><br></p><h2>You will need</h2><p>Food handling qualification</p><p>Food Hygiene & Safety for Catering Certificate Level 3</p><p>Allergen Training certificate</p><p>Attention to detail & the ability to work on own initiative</p><p>Experience of working in a supervisory role</p><p>The ideal candidate will have an excellent attitude towards customer service with a friendly outgoing personality and be used to working within a team environment </p><p>A “hands on approach” & high standard of presentation with the ability to work within a team producing and serving a varied menu to colleagues and visitors on site</p><p>The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, cook and serve food along with cleaning duties and stock vending machines</p><p class="flex justify-end my-8">Apply now <span class="text-4xl font-light grow text-right">></span></p>
