<h2>About the role</h2><p><strong>Interview and driver assessments&nbsp;will be held on the morning of Saturday 9th&nbsp;November. Please ensure you are available for up to 2 hours.</strong></p><p><strong>We are currently recruiting for routes with a start time&nbsp;between 10am – 1pm.&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Overtime opportunities also available</li><li>Fully funded CPC training hours provided</li></ul><p>We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Fareham&nbsp;Distribution Centre as a Class&nbsp;2 Driver.</p><p>The successful applicants will be required to work 45 hours per week, working any five from seven days on a variety of shift patterns, so there will be Saturday or Sunday working dependent on rotas.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Our Class 2 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some of the delivery points.</p><p>Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre-employment tests.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.</p><p>Completing several multi-drop deliveries a day (the amount each day will vary).</p><p>Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery.</p><p>That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift</p><p>Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team</p><h2>You will need</h2><p>Class 2 Licence Holder</p><p>Driver CPC Holder</p><p>Ability to deliver excellent customer service</p><p>Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential</p><p>Available to work 45&nbsp;hours a week (overtime available)</p><p>Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice)</p><p>Applicants will not be considered if they have more than 6 points on their licence,&nbsp;'Careless Driving', prosecution for mobile phone use or drink driving or have failed to comply with 'Construction of Use'.</p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
