<h2>About the role</h2><p>Venus Wine &amp; Drinks Merchant&nbsp;(Part of the Booker Group) are looking to recruit HGV Drivers for our Tottenham location.</p><p>In this role, we're&nbsp;seeking an enthusiastic driver to operate an 18T rigid vehicle, handling deliveries primarily within Greater London and occasionally on longer routes outside the city.</p><p>In case you didn't know, we supply pubs, clubs, bars and eateries which means making sure deliveries are on time is a top priority!</p><p>Our drivers are also paired with Drivers Mates, have&nbsp;an electric pump truck and a tail-lift to make sure you have all the tools you need to be successful.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><strong>Driving an 18T Rigid Vehicle:</strong> Managing diverse delivery routes across Greater London and occasionally beyond.</li><li><strong>Completing Delivery Routes:</strong> Efficiently navigating routes with up to 15 stops, with potential for additional stops during peak periods.</li><li><strong>Ensuring Vehicle Safety:</strong> Conducting thorough 15-minute vehicle safety checks before driving and recording the results.</li><li><strong>Professional Customer Service:</strong> Interacting with customers in a friendly, professional manner while ensuring their deliveries are completed and checked to their satisfaction.</li><li><strong>Assisting with Deliveries:</strong> Collaborating with a driver’s mate to handle deliveries effectively, using the provided electric pump truck and tail-lift.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li><strong>UK Class 2 Licence:</strong> With no more than 6 points (clean licence preferred).</li><li><strong>Digital Tacho Card:</strong> Essential for tracking your driving hours accurately.</li><li><strong>In-Date CPC Card:</strong> With up-to-date training (7 hours per year).
