<h2>About the role</h2><p><strong>Are you an experienced Credit Controller, looking for your next challenge?</strong></p><p>Here at Booker we are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team based in Eccles, Manchester.&nbsp;</p><p>This role covers a high value ledger comprised of large groups/ National companies which are subject to a high level of focus from a Senior Level. Working as part of a team of up to 5, each Credit Controller has responsibility for their own accounts,&nbsp;however we also work closely as a team where our accounts overlap.</p><p>The role offers flexibility with hybrid working; 3 days in our office in Eccles, Manchester and 2 days working from home.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Collect outstanding debt and ensure that overdue balances are kept to a minimum.</li><li>Reduce ledger value.</li><li>Query resolution to ensure prompt payment.</li><li>Allocate cash payments.</li><li>Deliver an effective and efficient service to both internal and external customers.</li><li>Managing your own ledger and accounts.</li><li>Providing query resolution, cash allocation and chasing payment by phone and letter.</li><li>Prioritising work load, utilising time management ability to produce reports.</li><li>Meeting critical deadlines, in accordance with financial periods.</li><li>Supporting the other Credit Controllers within the team&nbsp;when necessary.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Experience in a similar position within a finance department.</li><li>Excellent communications skills with both internal and external partners.</li><li>A well-mannered, however tenacious approach.</li><li>Intermediate IT skills, including Excel to perform reconciliations and produce reports.</li><li>Logical and methodical way of working to ensure financial targets are met.</li><li>Experience of Oracle/SAP is desirable, however full training will be given.</li><li>To be an encouraging Teammate.</li><li>A proactive, hard-working, and flexible approach.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
