<h2>About the role</h2><p>We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner (known internally as Commercial Finance Analyst).</p><p>This is a&nbsp;unique opportunity to work as part of our Commercial Finance team, balancing both financial accounting and business partnering to our trading teams in Booker Group.&nbsp;</p><p>This role requires you to be a confident communicator, letting the numbers/finances highlight trends, risks and&nbsp;opportunities and be able to effectively business partner the trading teams with that insight.</p><p>Initially we expect this role will&nbsp;support the Beer, Wines and Spirits (BWS) category, with the potential long term to move categories or work on projects.&nbsp;</p><p>The role would require the successful candidate to work 3 days per week in our office, ideally based in Wellingborough but will consider our other offices in Watford, Eccles or High Wycombe.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>Influence Category Managers to ensure understanding of margin and central income</p><p>Be the financial expert for the Category team.</p><p>Undertake analysis of the major drivers of category growth e.g. pricing, promotions etc.</p><p>Identify future Risk &amp; Opportunity</p><p>Delivering monthly management&nbsp;accounting and other relevant reporting for your business area&nbsp;</p><h2>You will need</h2><p>CIMA part qualified or QBE</p><p>Strong business partnering skills as you will be working closely with the trading teams</p><p>Progression in your career to date and a desire to learn</p><p>A commercial mindset with experience in budgeting and forecasting</p><p>A natural aptitude towards finance and numerical data with some Management Account experience</p><p>The ability to influence across a wide range of internal functions</p><p>To ensure strong financial controls are upheld</p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
