<div class="title-gr">Description</div><div class="space-s"></div><!----><div class="bio-details" automation="jobPublicDescription" ng-if="data.job.access_mode !== 'PRIVATE'"><div><b>Financial Controller</b><div><b>Full-Time (Hybrid Working)</b></div><div><b>Earlsfield / Kingston-Upon-Thames</b></div><div><br></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">Reporting to the Financial Director, this key role leads theoperational finance function and has responsibility for the efficient andsmooth running of all day to day activities and the delivery of accurate,timely management information and reporting.&nbsp;In addition to overseeing the operational finance function, theFinancial control will have responsibility for ensuring budgetary control,implementing relevant change and making recommendations to encourage continuousimprovement of financial performance.</p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal"><b>KeyResponsibilities:</b><span>&nbsp;</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><ul><li><span>Day to day managementof operational finance team</span></li><li>Lead, coach andmentor the team and ensure finance objectives are delivered</li><li>Oversee and ensurethe preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, board andbank reporting (including balance sheet and cash flow).</li><li>Ensure keyreconciliations are completed on a monthly basis (sales, margin, stock, balancesheet)</li><li>Manage sales andpurchase ledger to ensure that working capital is maximised</li><li>Develop, improve andimplement a robust reporting and control framework to ensure financialintegrity</li><li>Assist in the annualbudget / reforecast process</li><li>Management of monthlycosts ensuring costs are well understood, controlled and budgeted for andefficiencies are gained where possible</li><li>Help developcommercial and financial awareness across HQ teams to improve financialcapability</li><li>Management of monthlypayroll process and deliver payroll analysis for HQ and stores to ensure annualcosts are controlled to budget</li><li>Business partner theExecutive team to maximise business performance through financial support andchallenge</li><li>Manage year-end auditprocess, though to production of statutory accounts and other reportingrequirements</li><li>Ensure compliancewith Corporation tax, VAT and other indirect tax requirements</li><li>Help developcommercial and financial awareness across HQ teams to improve financialcapability</li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><b>&nbsp;Person specification </b></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst"></p><ul><li>A qualifiedaccountant with experience of working in the retail environment</li><li>Strong technical accountingskill</li><li><span>Excellent leadershipqualities with the ability to motivate, develop and coach team</span></li><li>Strong attention todetail</li><li>Advance excel skills</li><li>Ability to handlehigh levels of pressure and critical decision making</li><li>Proactive andself-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership</li><li>Strong communicationand interpersonal skills</li><li>Result focused andflexible working approach</li></ul><div><br></div></div></div></div><!----><!---->
