The successful candidate will join a business owned by successful entrepreneurial characters and opens the door to many opportunities moving forward.</p><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>About the role</strong></p><p style="font-weight: 400;">The role will be based in North Manchester and take control of the everyday running of finance from transactional finance to budgeting & forecasting and managing year end. The successful candidate will be able to start at short notice, will be a qualified accountant or with significant FM/FC experience and be able to hit the ground running quickly in a fast paced environment.</p><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li></li><li>Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns (if required) using Xero.</li><li>Conduct financial analysis, cash flow reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Ensure accuracy of financial statements and investigate variances.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts and manage intercompany transfers.</li><li>Resolve invoice discrepancies and support year-end audit preparations.</li><li>Maintain general ledger in line with GAAP and company policies.</li><li>Improve processes and controls for better reporting accuracy.</li><li>Support ad hoc projects and collaborate with senior leadership.</li></ul><p><strong>Candidate profile</strong></p><ul><li>Accountancy qualification or relevant experience.</li><li>2-5 years of accounting experience with a proven track record in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role.</li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xero.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.</li><li>Results-focused with the ability to drive measurable outcomes.</li><li>Detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.</li><li>Ability to work independently with urgency and minimal supervision.</li><li>Strong alignment with company values and culture.</li><li>Exceptional accuracy and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Package</strong></p><p style="font-weight: 400;">£40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits, 28 days holiday, career development</p><p style="font-weight: 400;">Zachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
