If you thrive on turning strategies into action and leading with purpose, this is your chance to make a significant impact.&nbsp;</p><p>You’ll be responsible for managing all elements of the system upgrade and budgets.&nbsp;The role will require working within a matrix organisation, working with stakeholders internally and externally across branch operations, technology, distribution, supply chain and SRM to scope and detail program of work, key performance indicators and roadmap.</p><p>Apply now and become a vital part of our transformation journey. &nbsp;</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>Objectives of the programme will be to improve the ordering algorithms for the supply chain systems, improving availability, reducing operating costs, upgrading, reducing stock holding and releasing cash</p><ul><li>Partnering the retail, supply chain, distribution &amp; technology teams to lead the delivery of the supply chain system development.&nbsp;</li><li>Leading and consulting on significant programs of work that simplify, improve or transform our operations for colleagues and enhance the shopping trip for customers.&nbsp;</li><li>Developing the key performance indicators and metrics for measures of success.&nbsp;</li><li>Engaging across the business to critique and assess all aspects of the current processes and systems&nbsp;</li><li>Use a combination of data and business understanding to turn data into insight, root causing issues, defining problems, designing creative solutions and implementing them in the business.</li><li>Make recommendations to the business on our 3-year strategy.</li><li>Reporting data accurately and turning it into useful information which has context and supporting narrative.</li><li>Articulating the opportunity, insight, or project clearly, flexing your style to engage with empathy and conviction.</li><li>Build engagement, influence relevant stakeholders and deliver change in line with milestones.</li><li>Measure the costs &amp; benefits associated with your work and recommending suspension/postponement of delivery if an opportunity fails to materialise or previously unknown costs become apparent.</li><li>Partnering with other functions as relevant on operations transformation or where their subject matter expertise is required</li><li>Agitating the business on areas that will improve the operational efficiency</li><li>Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious</li><li>Actively contributing across the team, Supply Chain and wider business.&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively lead streams of work to both deliver and sustain all change and simplification programmes of work, driving consistency and efficiency across branches whilst saving to invest.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead my team to keep things as simple as possible and challenge unnecessary complexity making things better for customers, simpler for colleagues and cheaper for Booker.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and lead a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best.&nbsp;</li><li>Developing the future skills and talent requirements for the team with a plan for succession.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop a culture of analytics led decision making.&nbsp;</li><li>Set clear objectives and review my team's performance through 1:1 meeting’s, Inspiring Great Performance Every Day and everyday conversations, using the supporting your performance process to manage under-performance where required.</li><li>Strive to build a trusting environment where colleagues and Managers have open and honest conversations&nbsp;</li><li>Work on your own development to support your career development and personal effectiveness.</li><li>Proven success in project management, supply chain transformation, or process improvement.</li><li>Expertise in data analysis, root cause analysis, and reporting.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously.</li><li>Experience in space, range, and merchandising processes and systems.</li><li>Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.</li><li>A results-driven, innovative mindset with a focus on delivering operational efficiency.</li><li>Ability to inspire and lead inclusive, engaged teams, developing future talent.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
