data-end="460">Key Responsibilities of the Junior Buyer, Electrical:</strong></p><ul data-start="462" data-end="2144"><li data-start="462" data-end="614"><strong data-start="464" data-end="502">Manage and develop the supply base</strong> to execute a sourcing strategy that balances margin maximisation with flexibility to respond to market demands.</li><li data-start="615" data-end="712"><strong data-start="617" data-end="643">Deputise for the Buyer</strong> during their absence, ensuring smooth performance of the department.</li><li data-start="713" data-end="790"><strong data-start="715" data-end="743">Review in-season trading</strong>, providing key insights to the Head of Buying.</li><li data-start="791" data-end="875"><strong data-start="793" data-end="816">Minimise overstocks</strong> while ensuring profit and service potential are maximised.</li><li data-start="876" data-end="969">Develop and deliver <strong data-start="898" data-end="924">own and branded ranges</strong> based on customer demands and profitability.</li><li data-start="970" data-end="1092">Propose and develop <strong data-start="992" data-end="1023">seasonal product strategies</strong> aligned with product performance, customer needs, and market trends.</li><li data-start="1093" data-end="1206">Collaborate with the <strong data-start="1116" data-end="1139">Merchandiser and QA</strong> to review departmental strategy and targets for each product area.</li><li data-start="1207" data-end="1358">Work with various teams including <strong data-start="1243" data-end="1280">Design, Marketing, and E-Commerce</strong> to ensure timely product launches through effective critical path management.</li><li data-start="1359" data-end="1505">Set sales targets and agree range plans, stock flow, and margins with the Merchandiser to ensure the right stock is available at the right time.</li><li data-start="1506" data-end="1628">Maintain a <strong data-start="1519" data-end="1548">thorough market knowledge</strong> and awareness of competitors' strategies to deliver a commercial product range.</li><li data-start="1629" data-end="1755">Ensure all products meet quality standards and legal regulations, while placing orders on time and within the critical path.</li><li data-start="1756" data-end="1839"><strong data-start="1758" data-end="1813">Support the development of Assistant Buyers / BAA's</strong> to build team capability.</li><li data-start="1840" data-end="1956">Provide recommendations to <strong data-start="1869" data-end="1897">Marketing and E-commerce</strong> on products for editorial content, emails, and promotions.</li><li data-start="1957" data-end="2070">Agree objectives with direct reports and guide them in managing their performance and professional development.</li><li data-start="2071" data-end="2144">Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.</li></ul><p data-start="2146" data-end="2166"><strong data-start="2146" data-end="2166">Required Skills:</strong></p><ul data-start="2168" data-end="3189"><li data-start="2168" data-end="2230">Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.</li><li data-start="2231" data-end="2320">High level of commercial awareness and ability to analyse data quickly and take action.</li><li data-start="2321" data-end="2464">Proven experience within a retail buying team, especially within the Homes/Electrical category, with responsibility for managing your own range.</li><li data-start="2465" data-end="2561">Strong knowledge of the competitor landscape in retail, home shopping, and online markets.</li><li data-start="2562" data-end="2639">Understanding of core target customers and the end-use of the products.</li><li data-start="2640" data-end="2752">Ability to work cross-functionally to develop and execute marketing plans to meet KPIs and customer needs.</li><li data-start="2753" data-end="2855">Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively while working at pace.</li><li data-start="2856" data-end="2918">Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li data-start="2919" data-end="3007">Flexible, positive, and adaptable approach to work with strong influencing skills.</li><li data-start="3008" data-end="3067">A minimum of Maths and English Grade C or equivalent.</li><li data-start="3068" data-end="3189">Ability to commute to Bradford city centre and travel occasionally for business, which may include overnight stays.</li></ul><p data-start="3191" data-end="3212"><strong data-start="3191" data-end="3212">Desirable Skills:</strong></p><ul data-start="3214" data-end="3541"><li data-start="3214" data-end="3268">Experience in electrical buying is an advantage.</li><li data-start="3269" data-end="3326">Knowledge of buying processes and supplier liaison.</li><li data-start="3327" data-end="3416">Extensive experience working with brands and managing the workload of junior staff.</li><li data-start="3417" data-end="3463">Trade analysis and reporting experience.</li><li
