Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a great time to join the company while we operate lithographic print and finishing equipment to supply high quality, volume products.</p><p>The role involves working a continental shift pattern working an average of 42 hours per week. This involves working 4x12- hour days then 4 days rest, then 4x 12-hour nights then 4 days’ rest.</p><p>We are looking for a motivated Packing Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves extensive manual handling which includes moving pallets of cards/envelopes around the machines. Lifting products including cards/envelopes and rolls of film into high speed machinery that will convert into finished products. Basic computer operation to understand product information and instructions related to products being produced.</p><p>Health & Safety rules must be adhered to along with the daily house keeping all supported by a daily time sheet that must be completed by each operator at the end of each shift</p></div><!-- Responsibilities --><div><h3>Role Responsibility</h3><ul><li>Communicating with colleagues</li><li>Understanding and acting on instructions from the departmental supervisor</li><li>Follow the daily machine plan to ensure maximum efficiency is obtained and the daily targets are achieved</li><li>Manual handling (with the aid of manual pallet trucks)</li><li>Mechanical knowledge for basic machine repairs and size changing of machine</li><li>Basic computer skills to produce product labels and to obtain instructions related to product information</li><li>Total awareness when of the environment when machine is in production due to high running speeds of equipment</li><li>Completing understanding of all the safety elements and processes related to the equipment</li><li>To ensure all Health & Safety processes and procedure are fully understood and followed</li></ul></div><!-- Ideal Candidate --><div><h3>The Ideal Candidate</h3><ul><li>Basic computers skills</li><li>Good organisational skills</li><li>Practical experience</li><li>Technical experience ( mechanical )</li><li>Machine experience</li><li>Team working</li><li>Maintain Health & Safety and house keeping standards</li><li>Manual Handling</li></ul></div><!-- About the Company --><div><h3>About the Company</h3><p>Card Factory is the UK’s leading specialist retailer of greeting cards, dressings, and gifts with over one thousand stores across the UK and Ireland.
