<p><strong><span class="">PRODUCT TECHNOLOGIST | FASHION & HOMEWEAR | HYBRID | £40,000 - £46,000 + BENEFITS</span></strong><br class="" /><br class="" /><span class="">BENEFITS:</span></p><ul class=""><li class="">Competitive Salary DOE </li><li class="">Car Allowance</li><li class="">Pension</li><li class="">Bonus</li><li class="">25 days holiday + Bank Holidays</li><li class="">Hybrid working </li></ul><p><span class="">This is a multi-product brand who are looking for an experienced Product Technologist to come and own a large category whilst leading and inspiring junior members of the team. </span><br class="" /><span class="">You will be responsible for running your own department and being actively involved with:</span></p><ul class=""><li class="">Initial concepts, samples & the development stage</li><li class="">Leading all fit/product testing sessions</li><li class="">Being accountable for the sealing process</li><li class="">Managing returns</li><li class="">Improving quality and returns rates </li><li class="">Maintaining & nurturing supplier relationships</li><li class="">Nurturing in-house relationships with buyers, designers, merchandisers </li></ul><p><span class="">You will already be operating at Product Technologist level, meaning that you have experience with people management & developing others, along with the ability to successfully run multiple categories. </span><br class="" /><br class="" /><span class="">AS THE PRODUCT TECHNOLOGIST:</span></p><ul class=""><li class="">Work with your Buyer on a daily basis and design team to ensure that styles are going through the fit process in timely manner </li><li class="">Full awareness of the critical path </li><li class="">i.e all first stage, 2nd fit and final fit (gold seal) are being communicated on with the supplier in line with the critical path </li><li class="">Any delays or sample issues at fit stage should be being highlighted to the wider team such as your buyer and designer </li><li class="">Any sample, fabric or trim concerns from a legal. compliance or ethical point of view should be being highlighted to the sourcing team to protect both the brand and supplier </li><li class="">Own all fit processes from grading, workbook management & supplier communication </li><li class="">Ability to request fair cost price reductions</li><li class="">Ability to set up standardised blocks for best sellers allowing the department to trade quickly</li><li class="">Create new specs for initial samples, working closely with your wider team to bring newness into the business </li><li class="">Confidently to review the supply base and capabilities, an ideal applicant may be able to introduce and onboard new suppliers </li><li class="">Provide return rate reports in Monday trade, sign offs and lesson learnt meetings </li><li class="">Manage test reports, quality checks, care labels and supplier manuals </li><li class="">Request AQL reports from your suppliers and manage the production seal process</li><li class="">Proactively support buying & design team with new sample development </li><li class="">Support with fabric and trim sourcing </li><li class="">Track and show awareness of competitors from a product offer, quality and construction perspective </li></ul><p><strong>BBBH31628</strong></p>
