They are responsible for delivering end-to-end HR portfolio initiatives across their unit. This role sits on the Unit HR Leadership Team and works closely with business stakeholders, Strategy, Portfolio &amp; Performance, the HR Centres of Excellence, and HR Business Partners. The role brings together all elements of the change landscape into a coherent and deliverable plan, acting as a trusted partner to business leaders to drive the required business and people transformation.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>What you’ll be doing</b></u></h2></div><div><p>•<b>Lead and Inspire </b>- Manage a collaborative, high-performing team across People Transformation, Technical Change, PMO, IR, and Workforce Management, fostering growth through mentorship, guidance, and opportunity.<br>•<b>Deliver Large-Scale Transformation</b> - Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex, people-led change programmes that align with business goals. Provide expert advice to senior leadership, ensuring transformation is delivered at scale and tailored to local needs when necessary.<br>•<b>Drive Programme Excellence </b>- Ensure HR portfolio and programme timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met by embedding strong programme governance, risk mitigation strategies, and agile/traditional delivery frameworks.<br>•<b>Champion Change Management</b> - Design and execute change plans that embed new systems, processes, and ways of working. Build a culture of continuous improvement and change readiness through tools, champions, and communications.<br>•<b>Use Data to Drive Decisions</b> - Leverage data insights to shape strategic workforce planning, organisational design, and transformation, ensuring data-driven decisions that improve business outcomes.<br>•<b>Be a Trusted Advisor</b> - Build strong relationships across HR, business leaders, and Trade Unions. Communicate transformation objectives and progress through impactful storytelling and data-driven reporting.<br>•<b>Align with Strategic Priorities</b> - Act as the key link with the Strategy, Portfolio &amp; Performance team, ensuring unit priorities are reflected in the wider portfolio. Coordinate with Group HR and non-HR teams to deliver shared goals.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b>Agile Responsibilities:&nbsp;</b><br>•Manage capacity planning and squad allocation for the HR Delivery team.<br>•Align cross-unit discovery needs with Centres of Excellence and business strategy.<br>•Act as the single voice for HR deliverables, ensuring leadership and HRBPs are informed and engaged.<br>•Monitor delivery health via retrospectives, capability checks, and resolving portfolio roadblocks.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>The skills you'll need to succeed</b></u></h2></div><div><p>•<b>Business Partnering &amp; Consulting / Stakeholder Management:</b> Acts as a trusted advisor and builds strong relationships to drive business performance by demonstrating and applying a deep understanding of the business and commercial context. To be able to manage difficult messages in a complex, demanding stakeholder environment.<br>•<b>Business Case / Portfolio Development</b>: Synthesises the benefits / costs at a unit and portfolio level and use this to influence resources / budget and balance trade-offs.<br>•<b>Project/Programme &amp; Risk Management:</b> Handles a project or portfolio of projects as they progress through the typical stages of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, and closure whilst identifying, escalating and managing risks.<br>•<b>Storytelling / Communication</b>: Excites people around what can / will be created, to clearly manage expectations and explain what actions we need people to take and when.<br>•<b>Change Management:</b> Designs and implements a strategy for change management activities, managing those changes and developments to drive business value.&nbsp;<br>•<b>Strategic Workforce Planning:</b> Uses strategy and workforce insights to ensure HR initiatives are aligned to future business demands and strategic goals.<br>•<b>Data Analysis / Decision Making: </b>Against a backdrop of competing requirements, uses data insights to make difficult trade-offs and make clear, reasoned recommendations (and what needs to stop being done)<br>•<b>Agile Methodologies / Collaboration:</b> Driving the embedment of agile ways of working and behaviours into HR practices, promoting flexibility, continuous improvement, prioritisation and collaboration.<br>•<b>Growth Mindset</b>: Continuously seeks opportunities to grow new and existing skills, with a commitment continuous learning and reflection.<br>•<b>Inclusive Leadership</b>: Leverages diversity of thought and inclusive thinking to maximise the effectiveness and success of teams, policies, practices, and products.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Benefits</b></u></h2></div><div><p>At BT, we entertain, educate, and empower millions of people every single day.
