<h2>About the role</h2><p>The Warehouse Trainer is a fully competent Warehouse Operative who will primarily be deployed as a Warehouse Trainer, for new and existing Warehouse Colleagues. At Peak times, and where there is no Training requirement, the Trainer will carry out normal Warehouse duties.&nbsp;</p><p>Warehouse Trainer responsibilities include delivering the training for new starters and conducting refresher training for existing colleagues.&nbsp;</p><p>Training Warehouse Operatives on the relevant processes and procedures for their roles, ensuring competency testing is carried out and completed.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Our&nbsp;Booker Retail Partners&nbsp;site&nbsp;in Didcot is a 245,000 sq ft, modern, multi-temperature food service site.</p><p>There is also great scope for training, development and progression within the company.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><p>&nbsp;Warehouse Trainer Main Duties:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>To co-ordinate and conduct practical training on all warehouse functions.</li><li>Working closely with the Warehouse Management Team, Health &amp; Safety Manager, and Human Resources, in delivering a bespoke New Intake Training Programme, and delivering Refresher Training in line with legislation to existing Colleagues. &nbsp;</li><li>The Trainer will assist with updating and maintaining the training files in an organized and auditable manner.</li><li>To assist with updating procedures and training in all operational ways of working.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure all aspects of Health &amp; Safety at Work are strictly adhered to at all times.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Warehouse Operative Main Duties:&nbsp;</p><p>The picking, packing and loading of our customer food orders for delivery,</p><p>Processing goods in effectively and efficiently</p><p>Performing stock checks as and when necessary</p><p>Replenishing the DC with goods in stock</p><p>Performing the necessary hygiene checks</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>You will need</h2><p>Skills / Experience required:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Must be a confident and clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>A positive attitude towards work, good work ethic and the ability to engage with and motivate colleagues is essential.</li><li>IT skills including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.</li><li>Presentation skills / experience would be advantageous, but not essential.</li><li>Previous experience of working in a Warehouse and LLOP /PPT Trained</li><li>Previous experience of working on Forklift Truck / Counterbalance Truck (a license is highly desirable, but not essential).</li></ul><p><strong>A Trainer Qualification would be advantageous from a recognised Training Organisation such as ITSSAR, you will be required to attend a 10 Day ITSSAR Qualified Instructor/ Examiner Course in order to fulfil the Trainer / Examiner role.&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>We are looking for flexible, reliable people with a 'can do' attitude and great team working ethics who will support Booker Retail Partners in achieving its aim to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.</p><p><br><br></p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p><strong>HOURLY RATE : £14.21 + Warehouse Trainer Premium £50.00 per week </strong></p><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
